Pace Law Firm Recognized at West Hill Community Awards 2025

December 8, 2025

On Friday, December 5, 2025, West Hill Community Association hosted its Community Awards 2025: Celebrate West Hill event, an evening dedicated to recognizing the people and organizations that support residents in the neighbourhood. The celebration ran from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and welcomed more than 150 attendees, including City Councillor Neethan Shan, Deputy Mayor Paul Ainslie, and a representative from the office of Federal MP Gary Anandasangaree.

The night opened with an awards presentation, followed by a performance from a local community dance troupe. Guests took part in raffles and prize draws, then gathered for a reception that featured snacks, treats, and giveaways. West Hill Community Association plans to hold this appreciation event each year so that community partners, volunteers, and supporters can continue to be recognized for the work they do.

Pace Law Firm was honoured to receive a Community Award from West Hill Community Association. The certificate was presented by Coach John and Councillor Neethan Shan and recognizes Pace Law Firm “for [its] outstanding contribution to the wellbeing of residents in West Hill” and expresses appreciation for the firm’s “effort and [its] heart for the community.”

West Hill Award

This award reflects an ongoing relationship between Pace Law and West Hill Community Support, including its food access programs and the youth-focused work led by Coach John through Coach John Academy. For our team, supporting West Hill means more than a single event. It includes showing up, listening to local leaders, and contributing time and resources to initiatives that strengthen families and create opportunities for young people.

We are grateful to West Hill Community Association, West Hill Community Support, Coach John, and the many volunteers who dedicate their energy to Scarborough residents. Pace Law Firm looks forward to building on this partnership and returning for future West Hill community events.

Most creator and artist disputes trace back to one reality: people negotiate money first and discover control later. In a music or creator agreement, the grant-of-rights clause often determines who can exploit the work, license it to others, change it, enforce it, and collect revenue from it.
