Mohammed Ahad Baig is a lawyer and Law Society of Ontario Certified Specialist in Real Estate Law with more than a decade of experience advising clients on residential and commercial real estate matters. Throughout his career, he has handled more than 10,000 transactions with a combined value exceeding $1.5 billion, including purchases, sales, refinances, private mortgages, and power of sale matters.

Mohammed takes a practical and detail-oriented approach to every transaction. He advises clients on agreements of purchase and sale, title matters, mortgage documentation, lender requirements, and closing issues. His experience also includes complex matters involving land development, severances, easements, subdivision agreements, expropriation, and negotiations with government agencies and utility providers.

In addition to his real estate practice, Mohammed has experience in corporate and commercial law, including mergers and acquisitions, share purchase agreements, corporate governance, commercial leasing, and the review and negotiation of technology and professional services agreements. His background as a managing partner and general counsel has also provided him with extensive experience leading legal teams, overseeing high-volume practices, and developing lasting relationships with clients and industry professionals.

Mohammed was called to the Ontario Bar in 2016. He earned an Honours Bachelor of Laws from Queen Mary University of London and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from York University, earning a place on the Dean’s Honour List at both institutions. He is a member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario and is also licensed as a real estate salesperson.

Before becoming a father, Mohammed enjoyed playing video games, hiking, and trying new restaurants with his wife. These days, he spends most of his free time with his children, enjoying quiet moments with his younger toddler and taking part in his older daughter’s latest adventures. He is also slowly introducing them to some of his favourite hobbies, although the results have been mixed so far.
