After studying Economics at Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) in Belgium where she had moved from her native Burundi, Vanessa established herself in the United States where she acquired a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Marian University in 2005. She worked as an analyst for real estate developers in the Mid-West before continuing her post-graduate studies at Wesleyan University where she earned a Master of Business Administration in 2010. She held diverse functions within the brokerage industry and in the vehicle remarketing arena involving project analysis, compliance, and client relationship management.
Vanessa’s interest in Immigration processes are the results of many years of dealings with both U.S. and Canadian immigration authorities while acquiring her American Citizenship and Canadian residency. This experience, added to her business education as well as her international exposure, makes her an astute analyst of Immigrant Investor files.
Since joining the Immigration Team of Pace Law Firm in December 2013, Vanessa has focused on regulatory compliance within Immigrant Investor Programs. Using different methods of analysis, she ensures the lawful origin of the net worth of clients and determines the fair valuation of assets declared, all the while building solid relationships with international clients.
