International Women’s Day is a notable day and an opportunity for all to take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate women’s accomplishments across the world. At Pace Law Firm, we did exactly that.
On Tuesday, March 8th, 2022 every female staff member at Pace Law Firm was greeted with a rose and a mini Henkell champagne bottle, a token of appreciation for their continuous devotion, achievements, and hard work.
Pace Law Firm joined people across the world to celebrate International Women’s Day, a day dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments and successes of women. As a firm, we take great pride in the fact that 60% of our workforce are women.
Stefania Sabo, the Vice President of Pace Law Firm, described leadership as, “I constantly look for opportunities to do better, be better. Finding ways to improve is a daily motivation for me and I try to pass this attitude on to my team, leading by example. You are only as good a leader as the team you are leading. I believe in the Flow, to make the most of any situation, craft an optimal experience and crack jokes.”
International Women’s Day first began as a labor movement which has now evolved into an internationally recognized annual celebration. Clara Zetkin, who was an advocate for women’s rights, came up with the idea of making International Women’s Day (IWD) internationally recognized and IWD officially became Internationally recognized when the United Nations began commemorating the day in 1975.
Female leadership within the workforce was what led Pace Law Firm’s Nancy Young, a lawyer to be where she is today. “As an author once said, ‘You don’t lead by pointing and telling people some place to go. You lead by going to that place and making a case.’ A good leader to me is someone who sets by example; day by day, piece by piece. I’m lucky to work alongside a female leader who I respect and adore. To be a female litigator and stay in private practice after marriage and children is not an easy endeavor. I’ve seen her career grow over the years. I see her juggle everything with grace and resilience, day in and day out. By watching her do, she makes me believe that I can do as well,” said Young.
Today and every day it’s important to celebrate the achievements of women everywhere.
